My boss gave me a hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley for two.

Believe me, I earned it working for him.

My favorite thing I ever did for my husband was surprise him with a trip.

He has always been a Cincinnati Reds fanatic but had never even been to Ohio. We lived in Texas at that time. I wanted to shock him with a trip to see his favorite team.

I saved money, bought plane tickets, booked hotel, rented car, spoke to his work about time off, lots of little things to do that you don't realize how hard it is until you are being sneaky about it! And not being able to talk to him about plans was a killer. Also, this was before the internet........AAA travel books were my friend

I remember waking him the morning we were leaving and telling him he would not be going to work that morning but instead going to see 3 Reds games in Cincinnati. He was in disbelief and I had to show him all sorts of proof before he believed me. I think he was hyperventilating on the way to the airport!

Anyways, it was a lot of fun to do for him and we had a great time.

Best gifts received: artwork from my kids. I love when they draw me something or create something especially for me.

Best given: Not sure, I'll have to give that some more thought.
