I grew up in the country (with the laid back, "good manners" attitude), but I can enjoy the city just as much. I actually spent the first part of my childhood in the city and the rest in the country. I do not shoot guns, go hunting, go fishing, ride quads and dirtbikes, or fix cars, but I do like to go hiking and camping. I don't even mind suburbia because it has way more than living in the middle of nowhere plus you are closer to the city if you decide to go. For dates, I like taking girls out Bowling or to the Movies or to a concert or the beach but not shooting or hunting.

I've lived in the city, the 'burbs & the country. The only men I don't care for are suburbanites.
Guys from the city are hip, cultured & pay more attention to fashion, which I really like. Country boys are just so laid back & cuddly & fun. Just driving through the middle of nowhere is fun with them. I could go either way with these 2 types- both good
I was raised on a farm, and my SO grew up in the center of a metropolis. We have more in common than anybody with whom either of us has ever had a relationship.
For what it's worth, growing up rurally doesn't necessarily equal redneck pursuits. Neither I nor my siblings has ever hunted/shot guns, we owned no four-wheelers or pickup trucks or dirtbikes, none of us grew up listening to country music, etc. One of my brothers is an avid fisherman, but he picked that up as an adult, after college/moving to a city.
Country guys know how to fix things. City guys know how to call someone to fix it for them.
