also gotta have a person to do it with

You mean who currently watches porn? Or has ever watched porn at all? If it's the latter, then I fear you will end up an old maid.

Hey now, lets keep that over in R&P

Well it wasn't the OP { me } who brought religion into it in the first place but carry on.

Of course there are some drawbacks as well.

I dont have much problem with porn although I rarely watch it. Many associate porn with masturbation, which has some actual health benefits for those that dont get laid as often as they would like. (Bolded portion above) Agreed...that was a rather harsh comment, in the cited post that the quoted post is referring to Atheists can respect the beliefs of Christians, and Christians should respect the beliefs of Atheists...no need for one group, to knock the other...

Adult online content is obscene, despicable, and a grave insult and injustice to women, IMO as a guy...it's a travesty that proposed regulations intended to curb this cancer, such as the Communications Decency Act (CDA), were stopped in their tracks before they could have made a positive difference...

I don't watch porn and I don't really like it (it's almost always fake, often aggressive or distasteful and the opposite of erotic for me) but I wouldn't mind at all if my SO watched it occasionally, meaning maybe once or twice a month tops or whenever I'm not around, in which case that's his problem lol.

However, he's never made a habit of watching porn and actually finds most of it tedious.

But wouldn't something like the CDA amount to censorship?

In my humble opinion, CDA and censorship is like falsely crying "Fire!" in a crowded movie theater...can't do the latter, for public safety reasons... In this case, CDA was specifically designed to protect children from being harmed by obscene online adult content, if my recollection is correct...

ETA: besides, before online adult content became so prevalent, children were previously effectively "censored" from printed adult content in bookstores, etc. Why shouldn't the same standard apply to online adult content?

I have watched porn in the past, and found things I felt were stimulating. However, I no longer touch it. I never felt I was doing something that was "right" by watching it, and since I was able to kick it, I do not miss it.

So I am happy my fiancee doesn't watch it either. Nor would I want her to be watching it.

You know what, my once upon a time porn time has been replaced by working out, investment research and city-data

Men always need something to replace their free time. As the old proverb goes, the idle mind is the devil's workshop.

I do run into porn once in a while, but honestly it's not even disturbing Marquis de Rigide in the slightest (even a big booty mommas 9)..... not even as much as a ducati does. That tells me how much I am over it

Don't shed 2 pounds jerking off, fellas. Do it the right way, hit the gym, bench press or the stepmill or something. Well worth it.
