My first thought was that he took his profile down because he met her too but flaking and then immediately taking his profile down after that, then ignoring her text and call says something else. The timing of those events doesn't seem good and it's been a couple of days. It doesn't take much to send a text.

Sounds like you were both in dating mode and you took it more seriously than him. He could have fell for someone else. Hard pill to swallow but it happens. Many guys will do the fade as said elsewhere. This guy just fell off a cliff (hopefully not a real one)!. He may have been getting more elsewhere too and went with that. Either way he should have told your.
At least you had some fun and hopefully he paid for the dates! Better luck on the next one!
