Then why did you post the question if your mind was already made up? Just trying to get people riled up?

OK, since someone has to do the dirty work I'll clear the misunderstanding. Just don't shoot the messenger.

nyanna - Black. Hood. Thugs. Pitbulls. You get the picture.

Rest of the posters - Granola. Cats. Sensitive passive Flanders types. You get the picture.

It's all about cognitive dissonance. Or cultural differences if you like.

We can close the thread now.

No.

I've never known a straight guy, living alone, who owned a cat.

And those men never will convince you simply because you won't give them the time of the day based on your insane assumptions about single men with cats. So, you win, as a self-fulfilling prophecy. However, your 'win' isn't legitimate because your premise is wrong.

Default Is it common for straight men to own cats as a pet?

I'm curious, are you out of high school yet? I can not believe an adult would make such an assumption. Cats seem more feminine to you? Maybe that is the problem, this is just something stuck in your mind. I don't think anyone else thinks that. Maybe you are wrong? There is no maybe about it, you don't have any idea what you are talking about when it comes to cats or things of a sexuasl nature. This whole thread sounds like ti could be some kind of bad joke.

Do you think I could convince you that the sky is blue? I own two cats, and I'm damn sure not gay and I take offense to anyone dumb enough to think I am.

You are insinuating the OP is stupid, I thought you weren't supposed to do that.
