What would you do if your wife told you to be more social or else she was going to have an affair with her coworker? Would you leave her or would you humor her?

I'd grab her hand and head to the nearest marriage counselor.

You are each letting the other down and not functioning as a team.

Successful marriages require team players.

You can be social by joining a Social Network like Facebook.

I'd give her my lawyer's number and directions to the nearest holiday inn.

Mind you I don't think I'm ever gonna be rich enough to be one of those people who always seems to "have" a lawyer lawl

The human side of me says I'd laugh in her face and leave.

The reasonable side says a marriage is a commitment, at least try to save the marriage first by going to counseling.

But that's no fun. LOL. The first option feel so much righter.

Default introverts vs extroverts

Her threatening an affair is wrong.

However, I suspect you are an introvert and she needs/craves social stimulation. How about agree to try to be more social for her sake? What have you got to lose?

If she chooses to go ahead with an affair, then she's in the wrong. You will have made a sincere effort to please your wife.
