If its any consolation I also feel sorry for those women who base their worth on their husbands status. Im sorry but HE'S the big cheese not YOU. Besides I want my own cheese. Also some husbands tend to trade them in for younger models. Then there you are after 20 years lookin for a job with no skills.

There a lot of divorces in my family. Just Mom has been married 5 or 6 times. I forget. I wouldnt tell the Huz but no matter how long we were married I could NEVER put my fate in someone elses hands. Havng your own money gives you independence. JMO. But if you have no assets of your own you might be willing to put up with crap. Now I might put up with a little crap but its because I choose to not because I have to. LOL.

You know what, I think youre right. And some say that its the womans career that puts a damper on marriage after awhile, but those are issues that would be nice to bring up before even thinking of using the 'm' word anyway.
