Hi there!
Gosh, it seems like you haven't been so luck in the dating department (Hugs)
I will tell you that I learned that internet dating can be very tricky. I talked to this one person a long time; we started casually chatting and then we exchanged pics. I liked what I saw, and we continued talking exchanging e-mails for a couple of weeks, until we met (We lived 100 miles apart)
So we meet in this Wal Mart parking lot, and I had no clue what my date was driving. I seen this really old person circling the parking lot a few times, but didn't think nothing of it. Anyhow, this person parks a few spots from me, comes out of the car and calls my by name. She then continues on to say "Oh, I'm sorry, that picture I sent, was me in 1971"... but I still look good. I was speechless so I left.
I do hope that you can find the ideal partner... it is hard. Know at least, that there are others out there that have had some weird predicaments and have gone through a similar situation dating. Good luck

^^I'm sorry but that was funny!! LOL!
Internet is full of all sorts of people, so you are basically taking your chances. I met yesterday's date in real life at a cocktail reception, and it was so refreshing to have a "normal" date again. Maybe I'll stick to meeting people in real life from now on.

I think he is letting you know that you are in the "friend" category. Not serious "relationship" category. In his mind, he has put you as a friend, so you are now his "bud" and confidant. He will probably start expecting dates to be "dutch".
BTW, I just read your most recent post, and agree...I have done internet dating, and got burned out on the players and games. One guy checked he was a "non-smoker", well I don't date guys who smoke, so I go out with him, and he starts smoking on the date, in his car, I asked him about it...he said, "well, I really am trying to quit"....um....you either smoke, or you don't. That is pretty black and white to me.

Yes, he did. I forgot to mention he started accusing me of being a spy. Came back from the bathroom and immediately ordered a new drink when the one he had before was not finished. Weird. Glad it's all over. |
