My ex was into recreational use. I don't know what he thought he was going to do with that thing for 4 hours - certainly not me.

Why do guys think that they have to last for-EVER? Like, hours? Doesn't that just get repetitive after a while? Wouldn't he eventually get hungry? Feel the need to take a pee? Watch television?

So strange.

My S.O. brought up Viagra, and I secretly shuddered. I mean, he seriously does NOT need it. I cannot deal with the thought of hours of poundy-poundy time. (Ow.)

I think it's pathetic . . . if it doesn't work, then find out why and fix it at the source (cut out the booze, the unhealthy lifestyle, etc.)

I don't know how women could be flattered making love to someone who has to take a pill to perform . . .just seems really creepy - oh yeah, and it's making the drug companies rich.

It's not creepy. I have a good friend whose hubby got ED when he was in his early 30s. They were trying to have a family at the time. ED is physiological. Just like some women go through premature menopause in their 20s and 30s, some guys get ED when they're quite young, too. We need to be more open and accepting of these issues.

You infer that all men with ED can somehow "help it" by making lifestyle changes, but that's just not true. Sure some might, but certainly not all.

Sometimes the drug IS the only fix.

ED happens as men age - there is not always anything you can "do" about it.

For those men I think Viagra is great - why give up your sex life prematurely if you don't have to?

Some of you guys love to blame the drug companies for things on a regular basis. But without the research and development they do, many of us would live less enjoyable, healthy lives.

There are quite a lot of men in their 30's, 40's & 50's who use it not so much to get it there but to keep it there (that 4 hour thing), to enable extended and repeat performance (s).

When you want more than the normal 15 minutes, it does a great job extending play time. When it 1st came out my Doctor gave me a few free samples packs. Next time he saw my wife in the office, he asked how she liked it. It took her a minute to figure out the question.

Ladies does your man use an ED drug for his (and your) fun and pleasure ? Is it a normal part of his life ?

No need for it here.

But the minute we need it, I'll be happy to make the pharmacy run

Appears like many people think it's about quantity and endurance when it's really about quality. Ever had a man who because of alcohol or whatever reason could only get it half way where it needed to be?

Sometimes with men it becomes a mental issue once it fails to work. A semi - softie is no fun for either party.

Yes. As a matter of fact I do. I'm no doctor, no. But I'm a medical professional and spend enough time around doctors to know that, from what they say, at least half their patients who request such drugs as Viagra would benefit just as much from regular exercise and proper diet. Many of the doctors I've worked with also suspect processed foods are poisoning us and contribute to such things as ED, ADD, ADHD, etc.

And I didn't say it was an end all. I said at least half. That's not even close to 'end all'.
