Don't sweat it, we only have less than six more months to live.

There's really no comparison there. Lol

Denying someone the chance to have a child is not the same as forgiving cheating.

It shows a lot of maturity to end a relationship amicably and still help each other get back on your feet. Although, lingering feelings will surely make it hard for the both of you.

IMO, the children debate should have come a lot sooner than seven months into the relationship. That's a pretty big deal, as you already know.

I guess I would have brought that up like the first week or two. I wouldn't have hurt you ladies later for that.

As I said, it did.

I was on the fence in the beginning but 90% sure I didn't want them. We knew about it months ago and talked about it. He said I needed to decide one way or the other before August, so I did.

That's pretty sad, but understandable... It is a major issue.

I think you are super mature and it is a great testimony to breaking up, civilly.

I think you did the right thing. It's a HUGE issue. If he agreed not to have kids for you, he would be resentful. It's better in the long run.

Please think long and hard the next time about "shacking up" with someone. Maintaing your own place in the midst of a lack of REAL stability is crucial.

This is why people should not live together. If you are not planning on making a life with a person, don't live with him/her. Difficult, yes...in the long run...better for everyone.

I think that as it gets closer to him leaving, one of you will cave...and you will do the marriage thing, then change back...the handwriting is already on the wall for this one.
