Where are the Asian men and Black women couples? (dating, children, American)

Why aren't there more Asian men dating black women? There are a lot of beautiful, educated, ambitious black women around, why aren't they approached by Asian men?

Don't know. I'm not black or asian. I'm white and have never been approached by an asian man.
Not that I care or have given it any thought.

I'd hate to say it, but a lot of Asian parents, who have a lot of pull in terms of who their children date, simply do not want their children dating black men or women. There is almost a racial hierarchy of sorts where the parents would prefer the child date someone of their own ethnicity, then white, then perhaps another Asian ethnicity, and then, well, that's it. Blacks are generally at the bottom. There are a lot of negative stereotypes held of blacks throughout Asia that many immigrants have a difficult time letting go of. Their Asian-American children are generally more open and would be willing to date a black man or woman were it not for the strong objections of their parents. I think once we get further in the assimilation process, the children of these Asian-Americans will have no problem dating blacks or Latinos for that matter.

Really, what difference does it make to you who an entire race of women dates? Amazing to me that someone would sit around and ponder something like this......

I don't know too many Asian men and black couples but there is quite a lot of Asian women and black couples. We even see it in the media.

1. Tiger Woods (mother is Asian and father is African American)

Professional golfer, worth like a billion dollar already with pension the last I heard. Maybe we need more of this combination. He (Tiger Woods) is engaged to a girl from Sweden (I think)....

2. Hines Ward (mother is Asian and father is African American)

Professional NFL player, MVP award.


These are two well know people in the news. There are more of course that I can't think of.

Comments like the one above is the cause of all ignorance in this world.......Have you ever heard don't generalize one group of people..

Look at what happened during the holocaust...Learn from history...Putting one group into one category is dangerous...

I don't think it's ignorance to be with "your own kind"
We all have preferances and the poster wants to get herself some asian goods so why make an issue of who you want to be with?
