Oh, and another thing, is this covered under most insurance plans?
No sadly not. Some times get billed under psychiatry or clinical psychology procedure.

I'm with Dolfan, I wonder if insurance does pay for it? Of course it is probably like everything else, the insurance will pay for a guy to go but not the woman.
Both sexes are serviced. No discrimination.

Maybe I've led a sheltered life here, I'm not sure, but what do all those initials stand for?

It's the best job hands down. II get to sample all the women and my peers get to sample both sexes. Not all sex surrogates engage in P&V. I for one don't practise P&V but limit myself to BAM, HJ, ORS and others.

We don't get to be call porn stars, male gigglo or prostitue.

It's a job for few.

Not sure on all of them, but a few are: (BAM) Backdoor Activity Manager and (HJ) Hand Jive

Michael625 does not sound to me like anyone I have heard of in this field. I used to have a close friend that did this type of work and despite all the joking etc. on this thread, it was a legitimate job, and having sex with her clients was something that actually occured on a rare basis. She was married and her husband worked in the office of the group of therapists she worked with. If a client had a sexual problem or disfunction they would go there for weekly therapy. The therapy was discussion like most therapies and would progress slowly to them being more comfortable with touching. After months of therapy they "might" have intercourse, they may not. Not all clients did she have sex with, many she did not. It was not like someone walked into the office and said they needed help and then they both jumped in bed, not even close. These were a group of therapists, many of which has Masters Degrees and many years of training to do this counseling. I never heard her refer to her job as a sexual surrogate, she was a sex therapist and sometimes part of the therapy involved sex.

I don't quite understand the need for this service. It's like paying someone to teach you how to eat food. If you're hungry, you'll figure it out.

Sex therapist or surrogate same thing.
Know a married couple who met that way.At first I was shock, they seem a "Normal" family. Not to be judgmental, I think if sex therapy is legal then all sex workers must be legal. It's unfair these get to be in unions, while the other sex workers are harass by the police and many of us.

I was thinking about this post earlier, ya know, can a single person go to a sex therapist? I mean what a great way to get some without going to a hooker, your still paying for it, but it's legal!!!?

Michael625 or any other "sex surrogate" male, what if the husband want's to perform with you? I mean it is just "therapy", so can you help a man out?
