I can't define the term "gangsters" without some pics attached...

Back in my mid twenties my best friend and I hung out in the clubs a lot. He always managed to get the girls and I always came in second. He had this silent cool about him and looked like Jim Morrison..where as I was the open talkative honest guy...Frank said very little...and gave off he vibes of being the bad boy..Finally I figured out why he was so successful with the ladies..He kept his mouth shut..cos' if he opened it he would be seen as a total mindless and shallow idiot...I am sure that gangster types are pretty quiet for the same reason and woman use their imaginations to fill in the gaps....

I haven't read all the comments. But it's always different strokes for different folks. Some women like them because of excitement, protection, image, daddy issues or just plain swag.

are better-looking (a muscular, athletic body is attractive on a man and is often a sign of good health)
Because all gangsters are in shape, and no dudes who aren't gangsters aren't.

and also more powerful socially (are more popular or have a larger circle of friends) than nerdy, "girly" men.
Because no one who isn't a gangster is type-A, assertive, etc.

Man, your perceptions are SO far off the mark it's not even funny!!

You need to stop watching The Godfather movies and get out into the real world, man.

Perhaps because they are human beings and there are few things that humans as a group agree and disagree upon.

It's like asking why do women like bald men, fat men, feminine men, etc.

It's personal taste.

They may like guys who look like gangsters because of the style, danger, rebellion, low self-esteem, thrill, etc.
