I disagree. Depends on what you mean by date.

After my recent divorce I'm not wanting a full time someone I date. I do enjoy meeting someone for a drink and dinner and several have led to meeting a 3rd time. I don't want to date but I do want to make some friends and if she wants, I don't mind getting a FWB every now and then also.

There is someone for everyone.

Maybe her "I'm not ready to date yet" meant "I'm not ready to date YOU yet"

I hear you loud and clear! I've run across several men that do this too. Seems some people are scared to death to be alone and need to get the line forming outside their door.

I do think it's crazy to see people who are still married but seperated and they put something like "looking for the last great love".

In my experience in dating if she has a dating profile, then either A) shes on there just for the ego boost of guys giving her compliments. B) shes ready to date, and she may just not be that into you.....

Agreed and if just separated not really looking for any type of relationship. Just may not want to be alone and needs a friend to hang with on occasion.

If she is legally separated plus in the process of getting a divorce AND ready to date then fine. But she told the OP that she isn't ready to date yet, so what is the point of having a online profile? That doesn't make sense. If she has a different reason then she should just say so.

All she has to do is state that on her profile, and most men wont approach her the way the OP did. I do get the feeling that its an ego thing though...
