I don't know if she's had work done - but if it works for them, what does it matter? I remember reading an article in the mid 80s where she stated that he had "the soul of a 100-year-old." Something tells me after nearly 30 years of marriage, I doubt they have issues about insecurities and who's checking out whom. She looks FABULOUS as far as I'm concerned. I am not saying this is how all couples are when the woman is older, but it certainly is something to admire.

There's a lot to be said for communication and for common goals, interests, attitudes about life. You don't have to be clones of each other but aside from the age difference, there are other things that hold relationships together.
When I lived in NY, my grandmother had a neighbor whose husband was 20 years older than the wife. They had been together forever. The woman got very ill and you should have seen how that man attended to her every moment, but he had always been like that with her.
I think I will be much more selective next time around, not so much about age, but about everything else. Much of that comes with age too though.
But yeah. No pot belly, no run down look or attitude!

Why are people so scandalized by older women with younger men? Men have been marrying younger women since the beginning of time and people rarely comment on it. Every marriage/relationship has good and bad aspects. Age should not be a consideration unless the younger party male or female is too young to make a rational decision about the relationship.
I am 47 and have dated men older (60s) and younger (20s). One is no better or worse than the other in the long run. Everyone is just different. What matters is that you are dating/marrying them for the right reason..love...attraction...common interests....and not because they are older or younger.
I would not like to be with anyone older or younger who would leave me because of my looks or my health.
Okay, jumping down off the soap box.
"Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;"..........and love doesn't care about age.

of course it can!
my boyfriend and I connect eerily over almost every subject- and he's 11 years younger. I'm 35, he's 24. We met just before his 23rd birthday and were smitten with each other from word one. We find ourselves saying things in tandem over random events, finishing each other's sentences, or simply laughing over eye contact because our line of thought is the same. I have never had that before-- and I've dated peopled 12 years older, my age, and a couple years older or younger. My younger man is the best person to come into my life, and I wouldn't trade him for anything! He's wonderful- sexy, smart, funny, compassionate, empathetic, driven, and loves me silly as much as I love him. Age truly is just a number.

I rather doubt that divorce statistics, as high as they are, would indicate a higher rate in the older woman/younger man category than in any other.

Statistics favors Older women and Younger men in general... just look at the numbers. However, it also depends on which state you're in as some states have more men.
Article - Gender in the United States
Up to age 24, the male-female ratios were about 105, reflecting the fact that more boys than girls are born every year and that boys continue to outnumber girls through early childhood and young adulthood.
The male-female ratio dropped gradually in the working age groups, from 105.1 in the age group 15 to 24 years to 92.2 for the age group 55 to 64.
Among older adults, the male-female ratio fell rapidly, as women increasingly outnumbered men at older ages and by the age group 85 and over, the male-female ratio was 40.7.

Years ago I dated a woman nine years older than me. We ended up living together for about a year. This was back in the 80s. We used to get a lot of looks.

See. That just goes to show you that women ARE the stronger gender. Men can't keep up with us. They rather disappear (die off) than put up with superior beings.
LOLLLLL Don't shoot.
