I don't understand the taboo of older women, younger men. You hear wolf whistles if an older man dates a younger lady...but if an older lady walks around with a younger dude...automatic stares...I don't get it. Relationships should be built on some common interests, love, trust, and all that other stuff...

My husband is 4 1/2 years younger than me but I look younger than him...go figure!

I was involved with a woman from 1987 until late 1993 who was 15 years older than me, I didn't know it, because she told me she was only 4 years older early in the relationship and I have to admit, she didn't look her age. I found out her true age in August of 1993, when one of her daughters, who I thought was her cousin, told me what her mother had hidden from me. It was a shock of course and I had to end the relationship not long after I found this out and I confronted her with it.

To each his own, older women/younger men might work for some. For me, I can only handle 4 or 5 years older, not more, and if she is honest about it, then I wouldn't see a problem with it.

I think this is a reason so many older women are now dating younger guys. Because not everything will work if you want it to. And older women get sick of Viagra addicts.

That's a shame that you would be involved with someone for six years and then break it off only because of your age gap prejudices. I'm sure that she worked extra hard to keep looking younger than her age for you too. Seeing as how women tend to live 7 years longer than men, the age gap was really only 8 years in a practical sense.

Anyway, I refuse to be defined by my numerical age. I look and act a lot younger than I am in part because I don't keep looking at my drivers license. For about 8 years, I never thought about my age. I didn't celebrate my birthdays. When asked my age, I would answer "I was born in 1958, you do the math." I wear sunblock daily and stay out of the sun. I also don't drink or smoke. I never had kids. I only drive stick shift.

And my wonderful perfect boyfriend of three years is younger than me by 23 years. We intend to spend the rest of our lives together.

I don't think it was the age difference, I think it was the lying. I am 55, look a lot younger and have always had younger men, 10 years or more. Now I am not sure about being with someone over 10 years younger than me. I think that is my limit now, not that they are knocking down the door Life experience comes into play when you are older. Just my opinion

Yes, I have to agree with that one. Driving a stick shift does keep one youthful.

As long is he is over 18, there's nothing wrong with that. When I first read your post, I thought, "My god, I hope she's not an elementary school teacher."

Moonemerald is on a distinguished road
Bump!

When I was in San Diego in 1996 I met a man on the MIRC chat station. I was having computer trouble and he offered to come and fix it. Knowing I was 22 years older I said no. Several times.. HE insisted and came over, and 11 years later we are still together and I think , very happy.

I am not rich, overweight. The only thing I have going for me is I am looking younger then my age.

I have no clue why this works. I was not looking for or wanting it. Now I just try to enjoy each day as it comes and treasure the time I have with him.

He is totally normal, likes to look at pretty girls and we talk openly about all that. He does not want children so that may help.

Intellectually , he is much smarter then me and treats me like a Queen. He has never raised his voice or hand to me. We have a great sex life, given he has arthritis(congenital) and sometimes feels older then me.

6 years go he was diagnosed with acute myleogenoeus leukemia(in remission) so we have a different situation then most.. I used to wonder to myself why we were brought together but it was because I nagged him he went to the Dr. and found he was ill or he would have prob ally been dead by now.

I on the other hand have gotten the joy of finding out(after 2 marriages and many relationships) what a real man brings to the table and how he treats a woman. He treats me as my father did my mother for 62 years and I never had that before. God knows why, I am a real ***** sometimes.

So this is a story where the ending is unknown. I could lose him to a younger woman or to death and frankly, I would rather lose him to a woman and have him be happy.

Anyways, my true story for what it is worth

Moon

Ps I shoudl add he is very good looking , and kind.

We might not agree on the porn topic in another thread, miu, but we do have something in common as my lady is 18 years older than me.
