What about wine by the case? Or burbon. Vodka

Wait I feel a song coming on.

Dope's addiction.

It's Mother's Day. We're gonna celebrate with Mrs.Chow's mom some other weekend. She wants to avoid the crowds.

My Mom is on to greener pastures, so that frees us up this weekend.

No specific plans.

May go on a Dexter / Nurse Jackie marathon.

May get drunk as f***.

I don't know yet.....

Did you read the ongoing Mothers Day thread on mothers making issues ?

I can't understand why adults can't stand up / speak up to others and keep life simple.

Yeah no kidding.

However, with that said I'm not too fussy about Mother's Day or my birthday. A simple acknowledgement is all I really need.

I'll be spending my weekend at a soccer tournament. Husband asked me if I wanted him to go instead...heck no! Drive an hour, set up my chair...put my feet up, enjoy the sun, read my book between games, go out to lunch...why would I pass that up???

We moved away from our parents when we got married so we've never seen them on Mother's Day or Father's Day, still I can't imagine making such a big production out of it. To each his own I guess.

We moved about 250 miles from family early in our marriage. That was close enough to go see but far enough to give us a good excuse not too.
