The negative connotations behind rejecting someone for their looks is almost as socially accepted as the politeness of rejecting someone for their personality. However, as a guy who has been rejected for my personality more often than my looks, I rather be rejected for my looks than personality. Here's why:
1. I feel like rejecting me for my personality is an indictment of my character. It's almost like saying "you're a bad person". No one gets rejected for being "interesting", "confident", or "independent"... usually it's because he's too "boring", "insecure", or "needy". I'd rather be called fat than boring. Honestly, in today's society, a "boring" man is worse than a enunch.
2. It's rarely accurate. I can understand if a 5"11 girl calls me short (I'm 5"10). Sure, it's sad but I get it. However, how am I suppose to accept someone calling me boring or needy? I have my own life and I'm really happy in it. How does a girl who's known me for only a few weeks really know what I do outside of the few hours we've spent dating each other. It's almost as if she's thinking "Wearing GAP + liking documentaries = boring + no life".
What do you think? Would you rather be called "boring" or "ugly"?

if you find girls who share the same interests as you, then they won't find you boring. you all will have plenty to talk about and it will be interesting to them because you like the same things.
^^^^ I agree with Artiste. Though no one ever said i was "ugly" one guy did say I wasn't "his type looks wise." They didnt ever like my hobbies or whatever and too private personality wise.
I don't have a problem with my looks (for the most part) and I like my hobbies, however boring they may be to others. So I guess I don't care what the men think about either one anymore. To answer the question: IMO I don't think majority of women want to be rejected for their looks.
It'd be a real step up for me to be rejected for only one thing. Usually it's a list.
