I have no "list" per say ...when I know I will know. We will "click". I have realized from experience that my "lists" have mostly held me back. It's amazing what I realized I could tolerate and was pleasantly surprised on what I am unwilling to compromise on when I let go of the "list" . Also, as I have grown and matured, I have realized some preferences will likely change on a continuous basis. The main thing is that my partner and I grow together, stand the tests together, and can reach a middle ground when it comes to raising the kids, financial decisions, and all the other good stuff.
What I am saying is the biggest ingredients for me have been intelligence and character. Looks can change, financial standing/job can be taken away , but character and intelligence...no one can take that away from you.
I think if I meet someone who is intelligent who I also love and respect and vice versa, and of course the attraction is there, and we BOTH decide to commit, I'm good. Everything else is a bonus.
I am convinced that whoever my lucky guy is, we will soar! Not saying "yes" for the heck of it, but I will run to the altar for the right man.
Buuuut if I had to make a list it would be:
Intelligence
man of good, strong character
similar values
don't look like a frog
believe that life is an adventure..b/c it is
