My best friend in school used to snore terrible, she had her adenoids removed and it didn't "cure" her, but it helped out immensely with the snoring.
You need to tell him about the snoring. I am sure he knows this as his family have no doubt told him. It's kinda rude though if he knows that he snores, and still tries to spoon you and falls asleep snoring in your ear. I told my husband the other night I didn't like him falling asleep next to my ear because he usually ends up breathing with his mouth open and then I am stuck with this big heavy arm laying on my chest because he is "cuddling". If he takes offense, he'll get over it... Like I said, he HAS to know he snores!!

That's great, but in the mean time, he does need to be more considerate of you by not falling asleep snoring in your ear.

He doesn't mean to, he rolls over and does it when he's asleep.

I guess there are several benefits to living "manless" - no problem falling asleep, and staying asleep.
If my only choices in life would be either in a relationship where I must sleep in the same room as someone with sleep apnea, or living alone, then buh-BYE! There isn't enough percocet or vicadin in the world that would get me through that night after night!
But seriously, I do know someone who lives with an apnea sufferer, and that breathing mask thing does work for them. I would encourage Mr. Right to go get the operation done, stat.
FWIW, if you want a surefire way to rouse him when he's snoring away, make short quick-fire repeated "tsk tsk" sounds - we discovered that little beaut of a trick with my dad who also has sleep apnea. Works like a charm....especially when he can drift off to sleep pretty much anytime, any position, any situation. Oy vey!

Or he could get one of those slits in the bottom of his throat, sure they sound funny talking through that electronic gizmo but you can get used to that.

I'm not going to dump a great guy just because he snores; there are things he can try and to me it's kind of shallow to dump someone because of something they can't really help doing anyway.
My ex didn't snore, but he was pretty pathetic in every other way. Sleeping quietly isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Well, I tried it all and most of em didn't work really. In the end I found that getting the best earplugs was the answer. I put down my list of snoring measures here: Boyfriend snoring - the things I've tried
