I haven't ordered a meal over 12 bucks in the past 8 months!!
Well there are 5 of us (tonight) and the kids all order adult meals. Factor in drinks and a tip and it's around $80. That's for the cheapo place down the road too...lol

If we go out to a nice place we're looking at about $180.

No kidding. I don't mind paying for food that I would rather have someone else prepare. If I can make it at home though, I hate to spend a lot of money unless the service and food is stellar.

I have a few favorite places though where I don't care what they charge me because it's just so darn tasty!

We never hardly go out for dinner anymore, we used to alot, now we try and cook at home more. Most of the time when we do go out, its for some occasion, a b day or something like that. We see Mrs. CHow's dad ever few weeks, we usually take turns buying, which helps out, no one is stuck with the bill all of the time.

Nope. That right there pretty much turned me off of having more than 1 or 2.

We saw AC/DC at the MGM Grand in Vegas a while back, and Emeril Lagasse has a restaurant there. OMG, LOL. I'm embarrassed to say how much we paid for our meal, but I have to say it stands out as the best meal I've ever eaten (at a restaurant, at least ). I practically licked the plate.

I kid Chow that I want to drive there, about 3 1/2 hours, just to eat at that restaurant again.

We go out about twice a month. There's just too much going on in any given week usually. Plus, I feel like a lot of dishes are more fattening and unhealthy when we go out.
