I think Minx nailed it. We get enough attention (long stares, pointing, comments and questions) when we're alone. It's only amplified when we're standing along side someone shorter than ourselves, especially someone who we're clearly romantically involved with (obvious when holding hands or kissing.)
All the reason why I love tall ladies who have the eggs and ovarian fortitude to ignore the stupidity that exists in the general public.
A tall woman who's into me and cares about me won't give a rats petunia about those outsiders who have issues dealing with our height difference.
I'm 6'3". I wouldn't mind dating a woman my height. A bad attitude is the only thing that can make a woman intimidating and that can come at any height.
I've seen this with all the shorter guys I've dated: the "I won a prize" mentality.
Nah. For me, it's not really about the girl at all.
Any time I've ever seen a guy with a girl taller than him, he always had an extremely alpha personality. Some of the most alpha guys I've ever met were shorter guys married to taller girls.
Another thing is that it's less prevalent than tall guys with shorter girls. So people tend to notice this. And I love the spotlight.
Also, tall girls are just sexy. Having sex with them is like climbing a mountain.
But yeah, I've never been with any girl and felt that I was lucky or just won a prize. The universe works as it should.

I didn't actually mean that the woman was a prize. I was referring to the man's skill. A "look what I can do" attitude, if you will. Quite the opposite of luck.
