Some men who have no class or style, that's all they've got to offer.

One guy actually referred me to his resume online. He's a rather famous attorney and I guess he wanted to make sure I knew that.

And, no, I wouldn't go out with him. I DID tell him that was a nice resume, and if I were hiring, I would definitely interview at the very least...

Another great opener that works for me ...

"You look just like that girl in the Porn movie I watched last night". Not a lot of women respond but when they do

Since you're contacting a person, why not focus on them?

Again, not my bag...and now I can see why. Lol
I agree! And then to insult the breed of dog ...well I'd have to wonder if they were socially inept. Focus on something they wrote in their profile. It's simple really.

If you focus on something in a picture all that tells them is you looked at their pictures.

But that's just me, and the OP isn't looking to date me so I guess that doesn't really help.

Getting different responses from different people still gives me an idea of what to say

Yes, this is true. And you apparently learned today that any remark about any breed of cat or dog will surely rip open the online dating universe.

Mention something about her profile (preferably something that was mentioned in the middle or towards the end, it shows you read the profile) and ask her an honest question about it. Most people (men and women alike) really enjoy talking about their hobbies, and answering questions about it.

If a guy were to send me a message about me flying planes, I'd absolutely love it!

I ignored the comments about the pets because I hate pets

That could be a problem.

I don't think I could ever date a man who 'hated' pets. Even if I didn't have any.

I didn't grow up in a pet household and was terrorized by a neighborhood dog. So that's why
