Ordinarily, I would say that it was inappropriate.
However, since you already know her, that puts a different spin on things. Since you know her, it would be expected that you would say hello, anyway. So, it should be fine to let her know that you're glad to see her, despite the unfortunate circumstances, and that you'd love to see her again. Quickly exchange phone numbers and move on.
But, let her demeanor be your guide. As another poster said, if she's really distraught, don't approach her with something like that. But if she's okay, I don't see anything wrong with talking to her for a minute or two. Just keep in mind that you're at a funeral and keep your approach low-key and respectful.
I don't think its wrong but a lot of women find it wrong and might think youre a creep for trying to get some there. I remember that one movie where Will Ferrell used to constantly sleep with women he met at funerals but I cant remember which it was lol, you should watch that and it might give you pointers.
I just got back from the funeral this morning and I did ask that women out but what she said to me left me speechless. She was all over me to the point where she wanted to get her kink on right there in the funeral parlor in one of the empty coffins. Now I consider myself open to a lot of things but even I have to say no to a superfreak like that who wants to do it in a coffin.
Dollars to donuts it's what your friend would have wanted.
^^^^^What he said. You friend would want you to be happy. Do it.
