I have to attend a funeral for a friend I went to high school with that just recently passed away and I found out that this women I've known in for a few years now that I've never really approached before will be attending.

Just would like some other peoples opinions on this one before the funeral services.

I guess it depends on her relationship to the deceased. I had a man try to pick me up at my mom's funeral this past January and I was not amused. Still, it would be better to talk to the woman for a few minutes and then hand her a card with your number and ask her to call you.

Not really the place for hookups. As another poster said maybe handing a card and leaving it at that. Please practice proper etiquette at best and remember the event is to pay respect to the dead.

If you happen to meet a woman you like while attending a funeral, it's OK to approach her. I have a bit of an issue with the term "pick up" though.

Now if you start attending funerals with the intention of picking up women, that's different and strange.

Will you be bringing your crazy jealous gf who has a male gyno? If so, I would say no, probably not. Otherwise I would say, no, probably not.

What if you find out she has a male OBGYN? I mean that's a straight deal breaker

Do it.

Dollars to donuts it's what your friend would have wanted.

You ask if it's wrong to pick up women at a funeral?

Dead wrong.

I think it's very inappropriate for men to approach women at a funeral, regardless of the person's relationship with the deceased.
