One of the other reasons the articles I read gave for the shortage of good men was that men were enjoying more disposable income at a younger age which was allowing them to act like overgrown frat boys. I never ejoyed the luxury of disposable income when I was younger. Also my reason for asking about the media and the internet is that I wonder if men's behavior has motivated the marketting industry to portray men like that or if the marketting industry has created the stereotype out of a small percentage and created a new demographic of men by encouraging them to behave that way.
