Mine is in the back of my jewelry box for many years. I am not sure what to do with the ring either. I figure some day my daughters will find it there when I am gone, or maybe I will eventually ask them if they want to make it into something else. I guess I just don't think about it much.

Just rings.
I never had much hurt and pain, really. Or maybe it's been so long that it faded. My diamond was fairly new (he gave it to me just before I moved out - ...we already knew we were splitting up...who can figure out the male mind?) so never considered giving it away. I've held onto both..the band and the diamond ring. The diamond, though small, is of good quality and I will probably have a necklace made for it.

Don't sell it at a pawn shop or cash for gold place, they basically rip you off because thats where people desperate for money unload stuff. Go to a reputable jeweler and they'll often buy it and pay a better price. Pawn shops may just pay you a value for the raw material, a jeweler will probably get you a somewhat better deal.

I tried to get my ex-wife's back, but of course she kept it. It was a beautiful ring and she didn't deserve it. I'm sure she sold it. F'ing b*tch.
