One of my friends had an argument with her boyfriend after she tried to introduce her adult toy box into their love life.
While I've never encountered it myself, I have heard that some men have issues with ladies wanting to include toys in their sex life. Is this common? Are some men threatened by a vibrator (buzz buzz)? . Why would you not want to add a little variety?
Could this be the equivalent of a man upsetting his girlfriend/wife by viewing porn? Hmmm.
well, I can say I've had this conversation with an ex, but she decided that she didn't need any toys in our sex life.
I suppose I'd probably be OK with some toys, but I'd have to experience sex with her using the toy on herself, or me using them on her to have a real opinion.
I know it's a serious question, but I can't help but laugh. So much to be said! I hope that we can keep the thread clean because this is a very good topic.
I would have to say that, just as some girls feel that they have to equal and "compete with" the girls in the porn videos, maybe guys feel like a girl wanting to introduce a toy (or whatever) is equivalent to her saying that he isn't good enough on his own.
My wife once went out on a "girls night out" with some of her friends. They went into the sex toy store. Best part about this story? She met all these friends from our church! Then she had to go and tell me what they all looked at. Needless to say, the following Sunday made for some awkward moments as I tried to avoid eye contact with all my wife's friends!
I think in our house it would equate to me buying a new dress, purse or shoes. I don't really NEED them but I do like them! When I come home with a new purchase he just rolls his eyes. He gets the same reaction when I know he's looked at porn.
Yes, but I don't think men getting upset by women watching porn is as common as women getting upset by men watching porn. I do know plenty of women whose boyfriends got upset about their toys though.
