He smight just sleep better without someone stealing the sheet or kicking him at night involuntarily, or he may have simply fallen asleep with the TV on. That is all!

Not sure what prompted this post, but okay. lol

My husband falls asleep on the couch every night. Every night I say "why don't you go to bed" but he tries to wait up for me. We call it "pre-sleep" around here.

Of course the OP is pretty bad advice in SOME contexts. For example any suddden change in energy levels in a person can just be the result of a hard week at work - or it could be symptomatic of an undiagnosed underlying medical problem. We should always be aware of any sudden changes in behaviour or similar in our partners.

DH often falls asleep on the living room floor (he finds it comfortable- don't ask!). He always wakes up within a few hours though and goes to bed instead. I don't find it offensive at all. I've noticed his Dad does the same thing.

My fiance calls it "resting his eyes" lol. There's also the times when I'm forced to have him move to the couch because of his awful snoring (sorry honey!)

my wife learned that if i fall asleep in the recliner to leave me alone. If she wakes me up after i go to sleep then i will be wide awake all night. If i doze off for a couple minutes that is one thing, but when i truly go to sleep and start snoring don't bother me.

on the flip side, she goes to sleep every night in her recliner about 830-900. i wake her up when i get ready to go to bed after the news.

I fall asleep everywhere. If i'm not doing anything that requires my attention i sleep and it takes me about 1min to nod off. My wife either finds it endearing (at home), annoying (when waiting for a bus), or rude (her parents house).....
