There's a manager in my office who's married with no kids. There's photos all over him and his wife with his dog. The thing is, these are the same kind of photos somebody would take with their child e.g. dog in the middle sitting on grass, him on one side, his wife on the other. I find it a bit strange. There's a few pics of the dog on its own.
I've also heard a few people talk about their "kids" - and they're referring to dogs!
What do you guys think? I've always placed humans above animals...
I think people that do that have issues. Just my opinion of course.
Any man woman or child who loves their pet more than a human being is disloyal to their own species...
I wasn't aware we owed an entire species our loyalty. I am loyal to those who are loyal to me and I will treat my dog far better than I will treat some humans. We euthanize them regularly in Texas, humans, that is. THEY are disloyal to their species.
There' snothing wrong in having affection for animals, but people who can't make a difference between an animal and a child are usually projectng their frustrated maternal instincst - childless women, lonely empty-nester women, etc (it's usually women).

I see you're making it about gender again. What difference does it make that it's usually women? Women tend to care about things more so than men in general (children, pets, other people, etc).
NO NO NO!!! My cat who is 18 is my life. My cat understands words that I speak to him. He "talks" to me. I made it clear to the ex when we moved in together that the cat came first, then the ex second. (not ex for cat reason, fyi) I would NEVER date an non animal lover

I'm sorry but I know plenty of guys that are just as big vaginas over their dogs as I am about my cat. Plus I know two that are in a legal "custody" battle with the ex's in the divorce over the dog so don't give me that BS that its just the women. Get off the stereotype and from under that rock
