I do have a bit of a fix, question, not interested in opinions but from you chatternutters. WHAT HECK is going on with men in their 40s'? Why is every last one I meet feel they need to find a relationship that leads to love, can't any body just talk about being friends and seeing where it goes without putting some darn pressure of love into the discussion. What the hey does love have to do with it. I'm not opposed, just damn, can I breath for a minute. OK, have someone on hold, as I don't feel I can respond to his we can continue if you are open to love question without alienating him. Dangit. I'm going to see if I can upload Tina Turner's song as my ring tone.
Had plans all week to take my niece to the science center to see this Butterfly movie on the OMNIMAX screen (BIG screen). Dropped $ on the tickets, and at the last minute the psycho soon-to-be-ex-sister-n-law says I can't have the kid because her new boyfriend made plans for them

And on another note my b-day is coming up and he wants to fly me out to Vegas to see Carrie Underwood. Nice gesture and all but I am not interested in doing that. I told him he could take me to Charleston and stay at one of the nicer hotels, to which he turned his nose up. Ummmmm...whose birthday are we celebrating anyway???
He likes to "go big"...and while I'm sure there are women out there that love that kind of thing, I don't. After 20 yrs you'd think he'd finally realize that.

Well...multiple reasons:
A) No flying (that's a biggie)
B) I don't have any interest at all in ever seeing Vegas
C) I don't want to gamble...if I'm going to drop money I'm going to at least come home with SOMETHING to show for it
D) I prefer old, historical cities to "party towns"

I think part of your discontent is the overwhelming need for society to put a label or designation on everything. Without it they simply can't function.

It is good you are trying to be in her life. I like this.... its good that she gets some good positive male influence in her life.
She won't grow up to be like some of the man hatin haggy shrews that we have around this place....
