You would think... I've ran across quite a few women who can really get bulled and not know it.

But the truth does work WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better!!!

I think it's a bit sad when people have to lie to meet, talk to and eventually sleep with someone. I have a friend who occasionally did this and he probably would have had the same chance if he told her the truth. He'd probably have a better chance since I imagine he'd be more relaxed.

If a guy feels that what he has to offer isn't good enough to attract someone, he should improve himself instead of lying. Or he could just talk to women who don't care if he's a record producer, astronaut, D1 quarterback, porn star, etc.

I will admit, however, it is REALLY fun when you can call BS on a guy.

I've had guys tell me they were pilots but couldn't name more than 3 manufacturers of planes, I've had guys tell me they were in 'recording' and couldn't tell me the rig they were working with (I have an AA in Music composition and know my way around a studio) I've also had guys tell me they played semi pro baseball not realizing my brother plays and that I know most of the guys on the local teams

So, have at it boys, but hopefully you won't run into a girl that will call your BS and go out of her way to tell the ENTIRE bar that you're a liar. One of the few 'perks' of living in a small town.

It's pretty lame if you're doing it because speaking the truth doesn't net you any results (GF, or casual), or because you have no confidence or faith in who you are. However, if you're just doing it for the occasional drunk quirk, I don't see a problem with it. One time on vacation I told a women I met in a bar that I was a lion tamer. Of course she didn't believe me. However, I decided to spend the night convincing her it was the truth. By the end of night I think she very well might have believed me. Either way, the two of us had good laughs, good times, and a few equally fun totally out of left field conversation while I was there. Incidentally, she was supposedly a famous opera singer herself.

in the end, the truism relationship cannot be built on lies applies...

well, no -because that would be stealing.

Fraud and deception in that case would be against the law , but lying about your job to bed a girl is not.

so it's fair game with the girl.

lol, you mean like the big business men that extort their workers and customers in order to get ahead - and provide for their girl

Ok, well in Israel perhaps this guy could have a problem.

but how about just in general - do you consider lying in order to get a girl in bed, to be a form of rape?

how about if you went with a prostitute and then refused to pay her - would that be a crime, and if so, what?

good post, finally some sense on this thread.

we all lie in one way or another to get what we want.

Plenty of people wear gold rings and they are not even married - isn't that a lie too, for the use of some kind of signal.

It is exactly the same thing.

if a girl wears sexy clothing she is making out that she may be available, the same as the guy bragging about his job.

same game, just a different technique.

we all lie and puff ourselves up when trying to find a mate for the evening.

so much hypocrisy in this thread it's almost laughable, ha ha

saying you are a 'lottery winner' has a very good success rate.

no surprises there.

did someone say that only men were shallow?
