Once I'm divorced, there will be no turning back. I'll have the bare minimum of contact.....

My grandparents (God rest their souls) were a trip.

First, she figured out a way to have him committed to a sanitarium so she could carry on an affair. That was over and he was home. Then they got divorced. Then they remarried. It was a secret until my grandfather passed away and as executor of the estate my aunt got a letter stating she needed proof they had remarried. No one knew they were ever divorced.

Hard to say. I'm trying to wait until the kids are grown (11 and 15). It's getting harder and harder to bear though.

No, no freaking way. Why even ask? The notion of getting back together with an ex it beyond stupid. Not sure why people think it is even a remotely a good idea.

I know two couples who did this. One is divorced again but they have remained good friends. The other is still married. While they were split up she got pregnant from another man, her ex took her back, pregnant and all, married her again, and they went on to have two more children of their own. He has raised the other child as his own. They are still together, and from I can see very happy.

In the 2 Instances I'm aware of they were both the at least second marriage for both. I think it was purely attempts to not be a multi time loser. 1 couple eventually divorced. He's happy living with a good lady. She's still the miserable soul she will always be 2nd couple still making up and breaking up. I hear. Pretty much drove away any friends or family. Kind of pathetic. So many fear being alone. I guess their weak
