Dont believe in whats shown in movies or tv shows about relationships. They are hardly based on real life.
^^This bears repeating^^
To add my own .02....TV and movies lead people to believe that just being in love is enough and that no effort is required beyond that. Love is a necessary ingredient, but anything long term requires more than that and also requires more effort.
That football player you have a crush on? The one who smiles at you every time he sees you and always sits by you in English class? HIT THAT! He ain't doing it just to be nice, and he thinks nerd girls are HAWT.
Don't know if it's been said but... "Don't be silly, wrap your willy. I learned the hard way having a child at 17. My fiance was 16 when she had the baby.
I would not give myself any advise. The paths I took in life, the fails in relationships that I have had were all a hard learning experience which prepared me for life as an adult in how it relates to both social and physical relationships. Some things are just learned through experience. Yes, you could tell the teenage you advise, but it doesn't resonate the same way unless you experience the lesson first hand.
Run away ... don't waste years of your life being abused by a man that isn't even your real father.
Why? Because he loved and cared for you and didn't approve of you running around til 4am when you were 13 years old. I've seen it over and over again, women that don't have good relationships with there fathers are above any parenting rules then turn around and play the victim card.
