I've noticed that men who are over 6'5 don't lie (they don't have to, I suppose), but men who are just on the cusp of being 6' nearly ALWAYS lie about their height. Basically, I subtract 2" if they say they're 6'2 or shorter.

Oh, that's another one They tend to measure themselves while wearing boots with thick soles. I'm a tad over 6'1 barefoot, add even a pair of flip flops and I'm around 6'2 or so.
I'm not photogenic at all (my designer pals are terribly frustrated by this when they take photos of me for work - they keep going "but you looked great when we took the picture!"), so most guys are pretty happy when they meet me in person. Something to be said for keeping expectations low!
