I have to admit, this reminds me a little of a series I've been reading. It takes place in a small town (with what has to be the highest per capita when it comes to murders, but I digress...) and the main character and her love interest often include "the mothers" (who are business partners) in their plans.
Very curious as to what happened with the card game on Saturday as I currently have no prospects and am therefore living vicariously through others.
Actually nothing because I got sick and had to cancel. I'm going to try again asking him and if he says no then I am going to stop. I think I'll say something like "when would you like to get together since you mentioned you wanted to get together with me alone". If he makes an actual date then cool, but if he hems and haws I am giving up on this.
I had the stomach flu actually and I called him. He said he was planning to come but you then he was feeling tired himself. An excuse, who knows but he claimed he would have come. I will see him soon though and ask him again. After that then yes I will let it sit unless he asks me.
He said he was disappointed but he said we will "definitely" get together to play cards with my family and he still wanted to hang out with just me. I said I was looking forward to that and hoped we got together soon.
I wish I had a better update but I got sick, go figure. I am not giving up yet because this time is of course my fault.
