About 4 or 5 years ago, when I was 22-23, I met a bouncer at a club that was 42. We hit it off and went on two or three dates.

On the second or third date he showed me his right hand. It was missing a pinkie...apparently he used to be a cop, someone shot at him and it got severed and they couldn't reattach it.

I'm not gonna lie, I was freaked out about the missing pinkie. All the sudden all I could think about was his right hand with the stump of a finger on it. Even he noted my furtive looks and said, "Now you can't stop about my missing finger huh?"

I felt a mixture of disgust about his missing digit and shame for feeling that way about a missing freakin' pinkie. I tell all my friends about this great attractive guy that I met and his missing pinkie and my mixed feelings. Everyone tells me I'm being ridiculous. I concurred so I knew I had to go out with him again.

I go out with him again, had a great time and he tried to get physical but I wasn't feeling it so soon. I was definitely interested in meeting up with him again and waited for his call...Nothing for two days.

So I called. He said, "Hey, Candice, I uh...just wanted to let you know I don't think it'll work out. You're just way too young and immature for me. Just letting you know." Really abrupt and cut the conversation short. I was stunned.

And that's the story of how missing pinkie guy rejected me.

Maybe you could bold or underline the part of the story that was supposed to be funny?

I must be missing it....?

Meh. My roommate and I thought it was funny. Maybe we're out of touch.

So you were turned off by his missing pinkie and he was turned off by the fact that you wouldn't have sex with him when he wanted it. Doesn't sound like a match.

Well...I guess...

It was just amusing to me that I spent so much time mulling over why I was making such a big issue of it in my mind when I knew I liked the dude only to get dumped because I didn't put out.
