1) She wants kids
2) She's overwhelmingly jealously and jealous for nothing
3) Talks bad about her significant other to her friends
4) Compares me to her ex
5) Her previous relationship/s has/have failed because of her

Funny thread. A lot of the deal breakers are probably turnons for others.

To each his own I guess.

Constant swearing. I find more and more people these days who cannot form a single sentence without at least 2 "F" words in it. Super annoying and a deal breaker!

Musicians.

My dad and brother fall into this category, and have this obsession with buying every keyboard, guitar, amp, etc., and only use less than half of it. Nothing wrong with buying equipment, but when it accumulates to the point that one's house resembles a music store, and purchasing new equipment takes priority over more practical needs like home maintenance and sometimes groceries, it becomes a problem beyond a love for music... .

I'm certain they are against the norm. However, even with typical musicians, having to be the first to arrive and the last to leave during their events, and staying late for rehearsals when one is not a musician or as "hardcore" wears someone out.

Key word: "aren't". Most of these answers are mainstream.

So I think tho help clarify mainstream vs non mainstream, I have prepared a couple of sample statements.

Mainstream:
I won't date a man who doesn't have a penis
I prefer women who shave their armpits

Non-mainstream:
I won't date a man who hasn't kissed another man.
I won't date a woman who doesn't have at least 100 sexual partners.

Hope that clears things up.

People in general who just because they are nice to me, but rude the waiter/busboy etc. (doesn't make them a nice person), would also certainly be a deal breaker for me in terms of dating them, as well as:
  • Dirty Elbows (elbow rust)
  • Yawning in public w/o covering their mouth, even if they were interacting with others at a distance and not directed at me!
