Hello,

In many rich couples by definition, the two members achieved the status of wealth by seperate paths:

1. One member (usually the husband, but nowdays sometimes the wife) made (or inherited) the money.

2. The other member got rich by marrying the person who made the money.

If you had to choose, would you rather be the person who made the money or married the money? In other words, would you rather be a rich person that someone gets rich by marrying or get rich by marrying a rich person?

Thanks

I'd rather start off rich without having to marry anyone to get rich.

I would rather be broke and marry someone else who is rich, then THEY could deal with all the stress and headaches (investing, taxes, etc.).

I don't like your first statement. Its not usually the man that is rich. 3 aunts and a sister in law hold down the fort with their brains at their job. That means they are the bread winners.

Wasn't this a Dave Chappelle skit? When he married Oprah Winfrey and got her pregnant?

What is the percentage of wealthy women on Forbes 400 richest list?
