I wouldn't let my dealbreakers slide, even being married with children. If he chose to participate in any of the deal breakers I listed, we'd be done. I don't care that I find him sexy as hell, that he's great in the sack, a great father and provider...yadda, yadda, yadda...it would all be negated by those particular actions, like the flip of a switch.
A little too dominant if you ask me,no question who wears the pants there.

I'm too dominant? I don't think I've EVER been described as such. I'm pretty agreeable and mousy, almost to my detriment.
However, if he decided to abuse me or our children, participate in drug use, take up smoking, drink excessively on a regular basis, get a little too controling or treated me as if I was less than equal to him, I would walk. We have 4 kids...there is no room in this family for things like that.
I think the poster was wondering how you define 'diverse' and 'homogenous' for that matter.
Of course one key compatibility measure, is having similar values, but I like for things to be less homogenous in other ways.
Personally, I do a bad job about maintaining friendships with people from differing "social classes," but I have close friends of many ethnic groups and nationalities. With all types of interests. I generally find that I don't get on well with people who only have friends of their own ethnic group or nationality. Even when it matches mine. Which is why I look for diversity in friendships.
**diversity in hobbies, opinions, religions and political views too.

Because with four kids I think your list would crumble like a Ritz cracker if it really came down to it.
I've seen it many times before..all talk
