Dear John, Safe Haven, Bend in the Road, Nights in Rodanthe...they are all pretty good.
Dear John is great but I still prefer The Notebook. Haven't heard of the others but I shall YouTube them now! Thanks for the suggestions.

Did you read the Dear John book or watch the movie? The movie SUCKED so bad compared to the book.

Nights in Rodanthe wasn't too bad...it just seemed a bit rushed compared to the movie. Same with message in a bottle. Not enough time spent on character development.

Edit: you prob didn't like Dear John because he doesn't win the girl in the end. It left me feeling a bit "whaa?? Nooo!!!" lol

Only watched the movie but your comment makes me wanna read the book now!

Are those other two movies similar as far as story line goes to The Notebook?

Well, I don't really believe romance in general, so seeing a romantic movie just makes me roll my eyes and call BS on the whole thing.

Safe Haven is about a girl that leaves her old life to build a new one. Meets guy, tries not to fall for him, does anyway and then all kinds of drama starts to happen. Good Read.

Nights in Rodanthe has a tragic ending and so does Message in a Bottle

This woman does not.

I'll take an old school Western or even Rambo over a romance.

Exactly! It just gets peoples hopes up and they end up disappointed in their own lives.
