I'm not sure, because for men to be promiscuous it nearly always means they are liars and manipulators. Notice I said NEARLY...but the promiscuous men I've known weren't exactly men I'd want to be in a relationship with, and it wasn't necessarily the promiscuity but rather the means they used to get that way.

The promiscuity/STD factor is probably why more women go for shy guys than some of the men want to believe.
It's why I prefer shy men. I have dated men who had several partners and they were messed up, between having paid for abortions (or many our of wedlock babies)diseases and so much more.
