Look, OP, I'll explain to you what's going on. The reason people are "judgmental" and critical of you is that you have some racist beliefs ("half-Asian people are extremely unattractive"), plus you take a lot for granted in life. No, you don't take it for granted, you feel entitled to a very comfortable lifestyle, you feel your parents should support you (and your children) for life, and you kind of use people (gf, parents). All this, while living (and posting) in what used to be until recently a relatively egalitarian society. It doesn't go over well. People here help those with problems if they feel they're at heart good people. But if they seem selfish or entitled, they'll turn against you. That's how I've seen it work here.
In North America, the ethic is about earning your way, and working hard to achieve something in your life. You come from a very different ethic. See? So you won't win any popularity contests here.

I was saving a joke about: he should marry a nice Tibetan girl, but the right time hasn't come up. His parents might decide a Canadian woman would be ok, if he told them he'd fallen in love with a Tibetan!
I saw a discussion on the Canada thread about teacher salaries. And people were saying teachers in the US are overpaid compared to Canada, and that 37K is plenty to live on almost anywhere in Canada. If his gf gets a job after graduation, they can pool their incomes, and still have enough for a few luxuries, now and then.
