Alcohol takes the brakes off of inhibitions, And changes personality sometimes. People drink many times to escape, Often it leads to irresponsible behavior. nothing wrong with going out and such-But when you wake up in a dumpster, In bed with someone you cannot remember being with or are stumbling into a convenience store at 5:00 AM to get a beer cause the pub is closed it's time to chill out a bit.
I do enjoy the double standard though. If two people, man and woman, both get drunk at a party and are both obviously impaired and decide to have sex, the woman can get up in the morning and have the man arrested for sex because for some reason women can't give consent when drunk but men can.
Well it's more a rhetorical question. I mean, I know the 'answers.' People like to get drunk and they like to have sex, it's simple, but my real question is why does so much sex seem to have when the two people are inebriated? I've never had drunk sex, but I imagine it'd be less fun...and often people can't remember what happened the night after...Isn't that sort of effed up? I mean anything could have happened and you don't remember it, you can't take account of your actions. And then you have women getting pregnant etc...
I don't want to sound superior but it makes me lose respect for people like that because they have little self-respect. I understand people occasionally get drunk, but to habitually binge drink and then lose control and just do anything is plain irresponsible.
I think this applies mainly to random sex hook-ups. It shows we're too socially awkward to relate without alcohol. If you wanna have random sex, why the need for alcohol? I get it takes away inhibitions, it's not like I don't drink at all, but to get blinding drunk? I dunno, I guess I get it but I think it's stupid but on another level I don't get it.

Well they wouldn't go tight-rope walking drunk. Sex has it's own inherent risks, so if anything bad happens I guess they only have themselves to blame for getting so inebriated in the first place.
