"The Most Private thing you are willing to admit about yourself"
I see a lots of people on OKC see this question asking you to reveal something very personal about yourself but to me I see it as...."Tell me something silly about yourself that I can't tell by looking at you?"
Anyone else agree that the purpose of this question is to generate fun conversation instead of something very personal?
The question "The Most Private thing you are willing to admit about yourself"
Do anyone agree that this question is asking "tell me something silly about yourself that I can't tell from just looking at you?"
I see so many girls on there taking that question so seriously and I honestly don't think it's asking anyone to share serious personal information.
It may well be as you say, a tongue-in-cheek question one is not meant to take at face value.
On the other hand, my default setting (mentality/personality-wise) is to take words seriously, so I answered it as such.
Think I mentioned that I bite my cuticles, and that I don't drive nor do I have a cell phone.
Since those last two are "unexpected/uncommon" compared to majority of people-I'd rather get those disclosures over with, than have to tell people individually.
Suppose people writing or reading-at OKC or wherever-are free to interpret the above (or any of the profile "prompts") however they wish, though...

Exactly, it should be something light and fun, not private as in only your close friends and family know. I would probably use that to tell that my second toe is longer than my big toe.
OP I took it like you did. I have switched my answers, but they have revolved around favorite songs rom childhood, weird encounters in public, and peoples first impressions of me.
Nothing super personal, but something that isn't the first thing I will tell you. But it may also be one of the things you notice about me, but don't want to comment on.
I am tempted to change it again to put in something about my voice. :P
I see it as a place where you can put something that may be a dealbreaker for some, but doesn't really fit in anywhere else.
I had a cutesy little joke on there about me being private, but the last time I had a profile I mentioned my surgery scar on my stomach. I'd say that's something that has been a dealbreaker for guys in the past, so I may as well mention it upfront and get it over with.
