I've always viewed my body as a sacred temple. I am very careful about what I eat, and I exercise on a regular basis, to help maintain my size 4 figure. Needless to say, I am uninterested in sleeping with any guy who hasn't committed to me. I have no interest in desecrating my temple.
Many people do not believe in God, but I am not one of those people. I firmly believe that we are here for a reason, and that once this life is done, we will be judged accordingly.
I don't take issue with anyone who believes otherwise, but I'm just frustrated by the fact that it's becoming more and more difficult to find an intelligent/career oriented guy with similar values (as myself).
So then go on one of those Christian dating sites or something. Whining to the rest of us isn't going to impress anyone.
Also, I'm calling popcorn on this thread. Once a woman announces her dress size, it's automatic attention hoardom.
Sorry, but deeming yourself to be better than other people just because you have a hymen isn't classy. It's just insecure and immature.
For the record, I have not judged you. I simply asked, whatever happened to appreciating good virtuous women. Virtuous means "possessing chastity." It was not my intention to insult anyone. I'm more or less asking, why so many guys tend to run away from women who do not believe in pre-marital sex.
Hmmm. I like sex. I like women. I definitely appreciate women who like sex. Don't know as though I would say I adore them for it but it's certainly a virtue. Does this mean I qualify?

Okay, so you have an unusual belief that sex is somehow bad for your body or "desecrating your temple." Most of us view sex as a healthy part of relationships and of being human. That doesn't make you more virtuous, it just means you have an unusual or old-fashioned (Victorian?) system of values. There's nothing wrong with that if it works for you, but you can't expect the rest of the world to conform to that, or pretend to be surprised when we don't.

Because men like sex! But if you want some sort of deeper answer, I'm sure a lot of them will tell you what others have already said: They want to test drive the car. Marriage is a big step. In this day and age, they want to know they're not committing themselves to a prude, someone with issues of prior abuse, or just a plain ol' dud in the sack. I feel bad for anyone who marries a virgin of either gender and finds out the person has sexual issues.
