Tips aside, it does stand to reason the manager would get paid more. However, the manager also has more responsibility and probably also has certain numbers she has to meet. And how does she meet those numbers? Getting customers to come back and spend money.

Also, there is a chance that she works for a company in which tips are split. The coffee shop I frequent is staffed by baristas (men and women) in their 30's who are all average looking and married. So they definitely weren't hired for their looks.

Well if having a kid at 24 is too young, and in your 30's you're over the hill...it actually only leaves about 2-5 years shelf life max.

So everyone who's not had a child between the ages of 25+ and 30+ is a big fat FAIL. According to OP, anyway.

30+ is acceptable. By then you should have a stable relationship, and a good career. Both will serve to provide for the child.

Anything younger is just a burden to society.

she was 30, dad was 33.

And I have an MBA, work for a consulting firm, and drive a BMW (paid for myself).
