Now here come the flood of people whose "story" is that they're single because the opposite sex is unable to see how amazing they are.

I am single because...I want to be.

In fact, tonight I have to tell a friend I am not going to stay over at his hotel as he seems to be expecting because I know he wants to move things forward, and I want to be on my own, no strings, no hurt feelings, no complications. I have neither the time nor the energy.
