Robert is going to land a good Catholic woman in the future.
That's not going to happen, because they call me when their marriages fall apart or, if their husband has croaked, then they think my annual Christmas letter is "weird." I'm off the market.
It's not of my business to monitor these patterns.
[the only pattern I worry about is my own]
No, dude, but you're in SoCal, so don't tell me as you're walking around the mall, driving on the freeway, doing dinner in Santa Monica, NoHo, or the Marina, or at work, you don't at least NOTICE these patterns because, in SoCal, everybody speaks their minds unless it has now become PC, like the Bay Area.
One of my besties is always about three or four steps further (in her head) in the relationship than the guy and then she doesn't understand why the guys get freaked out by her. Its actually very embarrassing and cringe-worthy to watch.

You give them an annual Christmas card?
What's wrong with that?

Poor woman. Yeah usually men are freaked out with overly zealous women.

I stuffed an annual Christmas letter inside the Christmas card batch of about 30 I'd send to friends. The others howled. This one woman, the widow at 33, criticized it. I've already told this story. I no longer send cards.
