The point is that most men aren't willing to take a different approach, so much so that they would toss the idea out the window in a metaphorical sense

I'm not so sure the problem with the "don't get any crowd" is necessarily the approach as much as it the mindset, at least with some of the CD posters. They take on a defeatist attitude and also seem to think that women in general are some sort of alien, unapproachable life form. I learned early on and especially when I first started living with my female romantic interests that all in all, women are not that much different than men, and I'm not talking anatomically either. It's kind of hard to explain but it's like how would you go about meeting a new friend of the same sex or meeting a new neighbor, it's not that much different meeting a potential mate IMO.
